The new Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that creates 293 horsepower. While there are only limited details on the new powertrain for the 2026 Jeep Cherokee, reports suggest that it will be offered as a pure hybrid. Front-wheel drive models are expected to use the Stellantis eDCT hybrid system that uses an electric motor along with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and a small-displacement gasoline-powered engine.
