Performance
The Challenger models in our new inventory have a set of six engines to consider, which range from 303 to 807 horsepower. The top three are huge Hemi V8s with power on tap, but any drivetrain will give you a fun, sporty experience. Upper trims come with numerous performance enhancements to the handling, suspension, brakes, and more to allow drivers to take full advantage of the car. There are performance packages that provide other upgrades, as well as more traditional options, like all-wheel drive or a manual transmission.
Technology
The Dodge car has a high-end tech presence. The base touchscreen is seven inches across, and an 8.4-inch upgrade is available. Apple Car Play and Android Auto are standard, in addition to a pair of USB ports. The Uconnect® software provides a simple and fast interface that makes it easy to get the features you want as you drive around Lake Grove. There are some sound system upgrades to add when you custom factory order a Dodge Challenger, plus satellite radio and navigation. However, most of the tech is available for the base trim, making the Challenger a good value for your money.
Interior and Exterior
The new Challenger has an attractive and instantly recognizable exterior design. It looks like it rolled straight out of the mid-century muscle car design books, perhaps with the corners a bit more rounded. The wide, overhanging grille and intake at the front are a major draw for drivers near Patchogue. The paint and color work are also excellent, creating a striking look that stands out with its bold lines. The interior is upscale, spacious, and comfortable. The seating is especially good for cruising around Smithtown, and there are some trims and configurations that swap performance upgrades for the seats. After all, this model is a car designed to go fast.
Key Features
Aside from tech, the Challenger has plenty of other standard and optional features you can consider in our new and used inventory. A sunroof is one of the most fun optional features, but there are practical choices as well, like a universal garage door opener, dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry. The three seats in the back row each have a set of LATCH connectors to install a child safety seat.
Trim Levels
There are seven trims for the Challenger, plus sets of packages and options to customize your trips to St. James. The base trim is the SXT. It has standard features, plus options like Nappa leather upholstery, automated safety features, a large touchscreen, and some of the tech and seating upgrades. The GT trim adds performance upgrades and some new options for the leather upholstery, sound systems, suspension, and brakes. The R/T trim has a 375-horsepower engine and most of the same features and options of lower trims. The R/T Scat pack moves up to a 485-horsepower engine and rolls in some of the options as standard, particularly the high-performance suspension, Brembo brakes, bigger touchscreen, and driving mode selection. The Hellcat trim has a large 717-horsepower engine and another set of performance upgrades, like a competition suspension, boosted brakes, intake, and heavy-duty differential. The Hellcat Redeye and Hellcat Super Stock are similar, but use a 797- or 807-horsepower engine, and the Super Stock has drag racing tires.
