How Does a Vehicle Become Certified?

One of the many questions we get about CPO cars, trucks, SUVs, and minivans from our customers is regarding the process of a vehicle becoming part of the CPO program.  The first thing that our customers should know is that the initial requirements for consideration for the CPO program are that the used car must have fewer than 75,000 miles on the odometer, be within five model years, and have a clean title.  It must also not have any aftermarket accessories that compromise the vehicle from being safe and pass an emissions inspection.  If it meets those initial requirements, the used car must then pass a stringent 125-point inspection by a factory-trained technician to ensure it is mechanically sound and safe.
